iTATU, the Kenya Industry-Academy Platform (IAP) is an initiative of the Kenya Industry and Entrepreneurship Project (KIEP) funded by the World Bank Group and implemented by the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) to strengthen the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Ecosystem in Kenya.

The project seeks to increase innovation and productivity in select private sector firms, in line with Kenya’s Vision 2030. KIEP also seeks to provide additional momentum to the Kenya Government’s Big Four Agenda, particularly on enhancing manufacturing value-added. All these initiatives have set ambitious growth targets in private sector employment generation and productivity.
